Adam from Hair of the Dog Brewing

Adam

By: Hair of the Dog Brewing

Product Description: A rich, dark and hearty old-world style ale. Adam sets the standard for high alcohol beers and has become a classic among craft beer aficionados. It's rated a near perfect score by the Beer Advocate Brothers (99 of 100) and an impeccable 100 points on Rate Beer.

Like most Hair of the Dog beers, bottles of Adam are sold mainly on the west coast, causing beer shoppers in the Midwest and East coast to stock up on bottles whenever they get a chance. Definitely a beer that's best suited for sipping from a wide-mouthed, deep glass.

What's on the bottle...

LOYAL - FAITHFUL - PURE - WET NOSE: Adam is made with northwest hops, Organic Pilsner malt and a variety of specialty grains. The flavors in this beer have been compared to chocolate, smoke, leather, and figs. Brewed in loving memory of Adam Kerchival. 11-30-1969 to 1-26-2005 brewer and friend.

HOTD Brewing Company produces bottle conditioned beers which improve with age. We are dedicated to providing the beer lover with new and unusual beer styles. The sediment you see is normal to the bottle conditioned process. Pour slowly to allow sediment to remain in the bottle.

10% ABV Our first beer. Dark and rich with notes of chocolate, leather and smoke.

Adam is a recreation of a historic beer style. Originally made in Dortmunder, Germany, it was the first beer I produced when I opened Hair of the Dog. Rich in flavor, Adam is best served as a dessert beer. It is great with chocolate or cigars, or just a warm fire and good company. It has 10% alcohol by volume and 50 IBUs.

Warning: Beer of the month clubs and mass producers promise "craft" beer…deliver less-than-stellar drinking experience.

Sadly, it's true…
98% of breweries in America are now labeled as "craft beer" producers, a term that's quickly losing its meaning. But most are still hiding dull, lifeless beer behind clever names and fancy labels.

If you're tired of it, as I am, simply enter your email address in the form above and begin discovering the best tasting beers in the world. Beers you won't find in your supermarket or liquor store. I'll show you why…and how to reserve your own private supply.
