Collage 2 from Deschutes Brewery

Collage 2

By: Deschutes Brewery

Product Description: Aged in Cognac, Pinot, Whiskey Rye and American Oak barrels. Deschutes Brewery has teamed up with Hair of the Dog to brew an artistic collage of their classic cask-aged craft beers.

A hardcore craft beer lover's dream. An unbelievable blend of four beers, aged in four barrels:

1) The Abyss - 100% aged in Pinot barrels (from Deschutes)
2) The Stoic - 100% aged in Pinot barrels (also from Deschutes)
3) Fred - Aged in American oak and rye whiskey barrels (A Hair of the Dog favorite)
4) Doggie Claws - 100% aged in cognac barrels (from Hair of the Dog)

This encore collaboration delivers layers of vanilla, caramel and molasses with roasted accents and complex malt character. Hints of cherries, chocolate, port, Bourbon, dark fruit, brandy, toffee, huge barrel profile, sweet sticky cognac, a killer aroma and a massive 14.3% ABV. Very complex. Very boozy.

  • Size: 22 oz Bottle
  • Type: American Strong Ale
  • Alcohol Content: 14.30% ABV

Warning: Beer of the month clubs and mass producers promise "craft" beer…deliver less-than-stellar drinking experience.

Sadly, it's true…
98% of breweries in America are now labeled as "craft beer" producers, a term that's quickly losing its meaning. But most are still hiding dull, lifeless beer behind clever names and fancy labels.

If you're tired of it, as I am, simply enter your email address in the form above and begin discovering the best tasting beers in the world. Beers you won't find in your supermarket or liquor store. I'll show you why…and how to reserve your own private supply.
