What's on the bottle...

AleSmith Decadence Anniversary Ale was originally brewer in 2005 to celebrate our first decade in business. Our brewers had such a great time creating it that they decided to brew a new style each year to commemorate our anniversary.

Now, seventeen years after we started, we're proud to present another great addition in this ongoing series. AleSmith Decadence 2012 is a big Belgian-Style Quadruple Ale. A variety of Belgian malts impart notes of bread and ripe fruit with subtle hints of cloves and molasses. Its creamy mouth-feel is balanced by a rich, full-bodied finish. This rare offering is meant to be savored and will age nicely.

More from the brewer

Decadence was first released in 2005 to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. AleSmith has released a new version of Decadence each year around our anniversary date in late fall. The style chosen each year is different, but you can be sure that it will always fit the description of Decadence!

Over the years, Decadence has been released in as an English-style Old Ale, American Strong Ale, Imperial Double Red Ale, Imperial Porter, and most recently as a Dunkel Weizenbock. No matter the style, Decadence tantalizes the palate in a way that has become the hallmark of AleSmith's premium ales.

Storage: Improves with age: Store in a cool, dark place for 6 to 24 months or longer.

Awards: Great American Beer Festival 2008 "Small Brewing Company Of The Year."

Serving Tips: Do not refrigerate until ready to drink. Serve at 50-55 degrees for best flavor. Serve in a goblet.

Warning: Beer of the month clubs and mass producers promise "craft" beer…deliver less-than-stellar drinking experience.

Sadly, it's true…
98% of breweries in America are now labeled as "craft beer" producers, a term that's quickly losing its meaning. But most are still hiding dull, lifeless beer behind clever names and fancy labels.
